I, of my own initiative, risk, and responsibility am about to participate in Martial arts and/or Fitness training at Triangle Jiu Jitsu. I am at-least 18 years of age, and if I am under 18 years of age, a parent or guardian will sign below on my behalf.

To the best of my knowledge, I am in good physical condition and I hereby elect to voluntarily participate in Martial Arts and Fitness Training at Triangle Jiu Jitsu Academy. If I have any physical condition that may impair my ability to engage in these activities, I have provided Triangle Jiu Jitsu with a physician’s statement describing any limitations to participate in this program. It is always advisable to consult your physician prior to undertaking any physical exercise program.

I am aware that I am engaging in physical exercise and fitness training that could cause injury or even death. I will be learning to immobilize an opponent by choking them unconscious or causing major trauma to joints such as the shoulder, knee, or elbow. I am voluntarily participating in these activities and assuming all risks of injury that may result.

I hereby for myself, my heirs, executors, and administrators release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue Triangle Jiu Jitsu Academy, the owner Brandon Brown, the instructors, visiting instructors, and employees from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, and causes of action whatsoever arising out of or related to any loss, damage, or injury, including death, that may be sustained by me, or to any property belonging to me, while participating in activity or on the premises of Triangle Jiu Jitsu.

Additionally, in signing this waiver I give Triangle Jiu Jitsu Academy permission to use any photos or videos taken during class and other activities at Triangle Jiu Jitsu for marketing purposes including but not limited to internet, print, radio and TV. Finally, this agreement will be construed in accordance with and governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina.

About the schedule:

Fundamentals: If you are a beginner, this is a great class to join! We will go over the basics of Jiu Jitsu. The class is open to all levels, and we generally have a good mix of levels in this class. If you're brand new, you'll get the most out of this class if you pair with someone who has a different colored belt on - blue, purple, brown, or black!

No Gi: No-Gi class typically starts with an active warm up involving drilling takedowns, submissions and escapes. Then, each class we do a deep dive into a technique that builds on what we covered the previous week.. This class has the opportunity for intense rolling at the end! Come ready to work and sweat. 

Day Class: Day class is tailored to fit your lunch break -- the class usually features 30 minutes going over the technique we are covering in our core fundamentals curriculum, followed by 30 minutes of rolling. If you don't have a hard stop, you're welcome to stay longer to roll!

Judo: Wednesday Judo is for beginners and advanced - you'll get a workout, you'll get more comfortable on your feet, and you'll learn how to take a fall. Friday is quicker paced and more suited to you if you already feel comfortable working on your feet, falling, and getting thrown (if you are not comfortable hitting the ground - please just let the instructor and your training partner know). If you come to Friday class, you're guaranteed a lot of reps and a great workout!

Kids Class: Kids classes are generally open to kids ages 8-14. If your child is younger than 8, and has expressed an interest in Jiu Jitsu and can maintain focus, they're welcome to join in the class.
